The beginning…

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2013. Prior to signing a professional contract after graduating university, I became ill and needed surgery. Unfortunately I had to put my professional hockey dream overseas on hold. After my pro career was temporarily cut short, my time away from the sport allowed me to become involved in coaching and the hockey development world. It was a rewarding experience giving back to my local minor hockey association. My time away from playing the game I loved allowed me to gain a new appreciation for hockey. I decided to start up a Charity Hockey game with a friend, teammate, and ex NHLer Victor Bartley with all proceeds going to Crohn’s Colitis Canada. This charity hockey logo turned into the logo for PH DEVELOPMENT! And kick started the program!!
